2009 New Product Spotlight

LDI offers a cross section of the technologies used by Entertainment Professionals. The New Product Spotlight provides a handy snapshot of just a few of these products.

When combined together, the TRANSMISSION projection screen and the ShowLED ANIMATION High Output LEDs create dazzling special effects.

  • The new TRANSMISSION front and rear projection screen has a gain of 1.13 which
    • makes it excellent for edge blending projection and as a diffusion screen of LED animation style backdrops. Screens are available up to 100 ft. high x virtually any width.

    • The new High Output clusters emit up to 12 times more light than standard Animation LEDs. Developed for theatres, rental companies and TV studios the HO LEDs achieve a magical even light when backlighting projection screens.

The OSRAM HMI® 24000W/DXS is the brightest double-ended HMIâ lamp on the market with a luminous flux of over 2 million lumens. Features are: CRI>90, hot re-start, and simulates daylight conditions at a color temperature of 6000K.

New black chromatized base caps indicate new sealing technology and longer lamp life.  DXS means the lamp is Double ended and incorporates eXtreme Seal technology.  XS technology allows a heat tolerance of 450°C at the pinch seal area.  HMI® is a registered trademark of OSRAM GmbH.

The new OSRAM HMI® 1800W/SE XS single-ended lamp is now the highest wattage HMI lamp in a fixture that can still be plugged directly into a wall outlet in North America.  With 50% more light output than the HMI® 1200W/SEL XS lamp, it features OSRAM's eXtreme-Seal Technology, allowing the lamp to withstand pinch temperatures up to 450°C. The HMI® 1800W/SE XS is mainly used in stage, film, studio and TV applications.

Like all HMI lamps its >90 CRI and 6,000K Color temperature makes it an excellent source for solar simulation applications as well.  HMI® is a registered trademark of OSRAM GmbH.
